Innovative Landscape Photography Tips and Tricks You Have Never Tried Before

When you wish to think about landscape photography you envision snowcapped mountains, quiet landscapes or pristine beaches. But what will you do when this type of location is unavailable or perhaps you want to shoot something else? Here are a few landscape photography tips or tricks that you follow to make your landscape photography more innovative.

Utilize your local landscape

There is no need to spend money to travel to an exotic location for wonderful photography experience. Although an exciting trip from your house is fascinating as it helps to refresh your body and soul you may not be able to find the right staple for your photography expedition.  Often the photographers complain that bad weather and lack of understanding of the foreign location spoil the whole trip. At the end of the expedition, you return home with empty hands. On the other hand, if you concentrate on the local area you can find a suitable location and capture some wonderful pictures.

Let your landscape photography tell a story

A landscape photograph can be treated as a story along with a beginning, a center and a proper conclusion. However the pictures cannot be always arranged in this manner. Another good way is to click images from the front side to the back. By capturing the images in this matter, you can compose these images so that foreground element connects with background elements of a pictorial shot.

One way is to keep a strong element in the foreground first and then create the shot so that the human eye shifts from a dull element to something interesting in the center, background and in the distance. As an alternative option, background can be utilized.  Make sure that foreground must compliment the background element and check out that under any situation, the foreground element must not overpower the latter.

Increase depth of landscape for better results

The best way to increase depth to landscape image is to make use of the side lighting process to develop shadows as well as reveal forms and shapes. The common rule of photography is to shoot with sun over the shoulder but when it comes to the landscape photography it is not always a good suggestion. The reason is that by lighting the front, a landscape appears to be flat as well as two-dimensional. As a result, the shadows fall directly behind a subject and can be hidden from your camera.

Another tip is to re-orient your camera so that sunlight penetrates from side and changes the entire look of your landscape. When the shadows are effectively falling across your frame they reveal the form and shape of different features within a landscape. It allows you to develop an illusion of the depth in your final image. The lower the position of sun in sky, the longer becomes your shadows and as a result, more features of landscape can be revealed. Another thumb rule of creative landscape photography is to shoot the landscapes when your shadow becomes longer than your own height. To achieve the result it is advisable that you either shoot early in the morning and I the late hours of the day. You should always avoid shooting photographs on midday.

Pay attention to high resolution images

Clicking nice images is not enough. You also need to bring innovation in printing techniques as well. Nowadays the digital cameras have high megapixel resolutions that allow smart and excellent photo prints. To create true to life images, most photographers are also using C prints(Chromogenic color prints).  Use high quality printing techniques for more creative outputs.
